Healthcare & Life Sciences

AmCham Germany discusses current healthcare policies in its Healthcare and Life Sciences Committee. The committee represents the interests of all healthcare industries within AmCham Germany’s membership. Ranging from pharmaceutical research companies to medical technology and diagnostics as well as IT firms and the consumer health sector, the committee’s mission is to speak with one voice for the entire healthcare sector.

It addresses current healthcare topics and engages in stakeholder discussions on the future of the German healthcare market. The committee maintains a clear, constructive and open dialogue with all relevant policy and decision-makers on the regional and federal level as well as on the European level depending on the issues. All major developments are monitored closely. The Healthcare and Life Sciences Committee focuses on regulatory issues related to healthcare and pharmaceutical products and seeks to promote a less regulated market, a friendlier investment climate, and further research opportunities within Germany.

Note: Until June 2017, the Healthcare and Life Sciences Committee consisted of two committees: Healthcare and Business of Healthcare.
