Corporate Responsibility

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which were adopted in September 2015 as part of the Post-2015 Agenda, take into account the ecological, economic and social dimension of sustainability and involve all public, private sector and civil society actors. Following the SDGs’ adoption, nation states are now faced with the chance and challenge of their implementation. AmCham Germany has always promoted an all-encompassing approach to sustainability and corporate responsibility. AmCham Germany and its member companies endorse the environmental and social responsibilities of companies within the framework of their entrepreneurial actions. Corporate responsibility has a long tradition in the USA and for companies with a German-American background. With their diverse activities the member companies of AmCham Germany contribute to prosperity and at the same time assume responsibility to enable sustainable business practices and act in harmony with the environment and society.
