On June 22, AmCham Germany’s Telecommunications, Internet, and Media (TIM) Committee held the first event of its new format “TIM Late-Night Talk”. Starting at 9 pm, Martin Schallbruch, Deputy Director of the Digital Society Institute in Berlin discussed with Jason Healey, videoed in from Columbia University on “The Geopolitics of Cybersecurity”. Schallbruch presented 6 theses, among them that trustworthiness of IT cannot (yet) be solved at a global level. Healey’s comments focused on governance, content, as well as conflicts and espionage. TIM members continued the discussion at a reception. We thank CSC for generously hosting the first TIM Late-Night Talk.
