Berlin, February 24. AmCham Germany’s Health Care Committee discussed the medical progress in oncology and its added value for cancer patients at a parliamentary breakfast with MdB Wolfgang Bosbach, CDU/CSU-Bundestagdfraktion and Prof. Dr. Diana Lüftner, Vorstandsmitglied der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Hämatologie und Medizinische Onkologie (DGHO). MdB Bosbach described his experience with the illness with regard to quality of life, innovation and progress in oncology and his wishes for the future. Prof. Dr. Diana Lüftner explained breakthrough innovations made in the past couple of years and its effects; forms of cancer that could previously not be treated have become treatable, side effects of polychemotherapy are being averted or postponed, quality of life has been increased enormously.
