MEP Herbert Reul meets with Environment & Energy Committee in Berlin

On December 2nd, AmCham Germany’s Environment & Energy Committee (EEC) hosted MEP Herbert Reul, Chairman of the CDU/CSU Delegation in the European Parliament. One year after his first exchange with members of the EEC in 2015, MEP Herbert Reul shared his views on the European Commission’s “winter package” of energy measures. Besides energy policy, participants also used the opportunity to discuss current political issues, such as the US election results, Brexit as well as the state and future of the European Union. In order for the EU to regain trust and credibility among its citizens, MEP Herbert Reul advocates taking small steps that result in small, but effective political achievements.

We thank MEP Herbert Reul for the open dialogue and look forward to continuing the discussion in 2017.
