We are very happy to have held the first Corporate and Business Law Committee meeting of 2019 under the leadership of two new Committee Chairs: Ms. Britta Weber, Managing Director Switzerland & Austria at United Parcel Service, and Dr. Robert Weber, Partner and Dentons Europe LLP.
The topic of the meeting was: Recent Developments in US Business Visa Policies - Trends and Facts. During the meeting at AmCham Germany's Frankfurt office, Mr. Roland E. Lyons, Field Office Director, DHS/USCIS at the US Consulate General Frankfurt, and Mr. David Iannella, Manager, Consular & Document Practice at Fragomen Global LLP, held insightful speeches.
German investment in the US has been rising for years, and so has the need for a skilled workforce for parent companies. The committee meeting was able to provide valuable insights from experts at DHS and USCIS on current adjudicative trends and common application issues as well as give an overview on inter-agency procedures and first-hand advice for a successful visa application process.
