For its first meeting of 2019, the Innovation & Research Committee hosted Dr. Stefan Kaufmann, MdB, Ombudsman of the CDU/CSU-Parliamentary Group in the Committee for Education, Research, and Technology Assessment of the German Bundestag, on Wednesday January 30.
The meeting was led by Committee Chair Stephan Schraff, Head of Liaison Office, Bayer.
The discussion with Dr. Stefan Kaufmann covered many areas of education, innovation and research policy, including the German hightech strategy and digital pact, the introduction of tax-based research funding and the planned agency for radical innovations as well as the Skilled Immigration Act - just to name a few.
