Healthcare and Life Sciences Committee discusses healthcare policies with Stephan Pilsinger

On April 4, 2018, members of AmCham Germany's Healthcare & Life Sciences Committee met with one of the newly elected Member of the German Bundestag, Stephan Pilsinger, CDU/CSU-Parliamentary Group. The discussion focused on the main challenges for the German healthcare system and potential solutions. All participants agreed that one of the key aspects for a sustainable healthcare system is digitization but in order to exploit the full potential of digitization many regulatory issues have to be solved. Data protection is of the biggest importance when it comes to sensible healthcare data, but nevertheless there should be a regulatory framework to allow for the potential of this sensible data to help fight and prevent diseases. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Gerd Kräh.
