AmCham Germany Trade Committee Discusses Developments in NAFTA Renegotiations and a Possible TTIP 2.0

Luncheon Briefing at Squire Patton Boggs

On October 24, members of AmCham Germany's Trade Commitee met with Frank Samolis, Partner at Squire Patton Boggs and Co-Chair of the International Practice Group, and Sanford G. Henry, Partner at the Global Resources Partnership, in Berlin. During the luncheon briefing, the status of NAFTA renegotiations and the possible implications these may have on the US-EU trade relationship were considered. The experts provided a comprehensive overview of the legislative framework in the US as it relates to trade agreements and assessed what this means for NAFTA renegotiations and a possible revival of the TTIP agreement. Furthermore, implications for Brexit negotiations and a possible trade relationship between the US and Great Britain were also discussed.

We would like to thank Squire Patton Boggs for hosting this event! We will continue to follow transatlantic trade developments closely and engage in dialogue with relevant stakeholders.
