AmCham Germany Aerospace & Defense Committee Expands Network to Brussels

In November, AmCham Germany Aerospace & Defense committee staffer Francisca Schmidt participated in a study tour to Brussels with other women from the German security and defense industries. The focus of the trip, which was organized by the initiative Women in International Security, included meetings in the Permament Representation of the Federal Republic of Germany to the European Union, European Commission, European Parliament, European External Action Service and NATO to discuss current security and defense issues in Europe. Topics included decision-making in Brussels, collaboration developments between the EU and NATO, and the Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO). The trip also included a networking evening with the Women in International Security Brussels chapter.
