AmCham Germany Aerospace & Defense Committee Discusses Security Developments in Europe and Germany

On December 8, members of AmCham Germany’s Aerospace & Defense Committee met with Dr. Christian Mölling, deputy director of the German Council on Foreign Relation’s (DGAP) research institute, in Berlin. During the luncheon briefing, Dr. Mölling gave an overview of the defense and security industries in Europe. The effects of the Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO) were discussed, including the role that Germany may play and how PESCO relates to NATO and the transatlantic relationship as a whole. The members underlined the importance of the transatlantic relationship in the defense industry and that both the US and EU should work together more closely to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.
