20th Transatlantic Business Conference Sets Impulses for the Future Cooperation Between Germany and the United States
* Publication of the Latest Top 50 / Top 30 Rankings of U.S. Companies in Germany
Berlin, November 5, 2026 – Immediately following the U.S. Midterm Elections, the American Chamber of Commerce in Germany (AmCham Germany) is hosting its 20th Transatlantic Business Conference at the Humboldt Carré in central Berlin. More than 250 senior representatives from German federal politics, transatlantic business, diplomacy, media, and civil society are attending this anniversary conference. Keynote speakers include German Federal Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius, Alan Meltzer, Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Berlin, and Dr. Markus Kamieth, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of BASF SE.
In his welcome address, AmCham Germany President Christopher F. Porter emphasized: “Even after the Midterm Elections, one thing remains clear: the close economic ties across the Atlantic are a strategic advantage that must be safeguarded through stable framework conditions. Transatlantic strength requires reliability. European competitiveness requires openness. Sovereignty requires international partnerships, access to global innovation, and freedom of choice. Only in this way can we strengthen resilience and secure long-term competitiveness, both in Europe and across the transatlantic economic area.”
In his opening keynote, BASF CEO Dr. Markus Kamieth also highlighted the enduring link between open markets and economic growth: “The transatlantic partnership is strongest when Europe and the United States create value together. Economic security and resilience matter, but they must not become a pretext for protectionism. What we need are open markets, a level playing field and the confidence to turn our shared interests into investment and growth.”
One of the highlights of the 20th Transatlantic Business Conference is the afternoon keynote address by German Federal Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius. With regard to [topic to be added], he stated: “[quote to be added].”

* 20. Transatlantische Wirtschaftskonferenz setzt Impulse für die zukünftige Zusammenarbeit von Deutschland und den USA
* Veröffentlichung der aktuellen Top50 / Top30-Rankings von US-Unternehmen in Deutschland
Berlin, 5. November 2026 – Unmittelbar nach den Midterm Elections in den USA veranstaltet die American Chamber of Commerce in Germany (AmCham Germany) im Humboldt Carré in Berlin-Mitte die 20. Transatlantische Wirtschaftskonferenz.
