NextGen Goes Niedersachsen

NextGen Special Event with ExxonMobil

Our current NextGen cohort and alumni had the exclusive opportunity to get an up-close look at AmCham Germany member company ExxonMobil Germany during an on-site visit in Lower Saxony.

Accompanied by NextGen Steering Committee representatives Ludwig Andreas Högn, Supervisor of Non-Routine Opportunities at ExxonMobil, and Marlene Wolf, Planning Advisor at ExxonMobil, participants visited one of the company's sites in Lower Saxony and engaged in subsequent discussions at a regional facility. Discussions took place regarding current developments in energy policy and supply in Germany as well as the regulatory environment.

Following the tour, participants had the opportunity to gain further insights into the company from Ronny Hauck, Member of the Management Board of ExxonMobil Central Europe Holding GmbH and AmCham Germany Board Member, who engaged in a lunch discussion with Thomas Henneberg, Head of Department, Strategic Partnerships, Regional Coordination and Events at AmCham Germany. Ronny Hauck's insights into current industrial and geopolitical developments as well as the importance of new business models and technologies were of particular significance to NextGen participants. In a subsequent Q&A session, participants were able to engage in direct dialogue with Ronny Hauck.

In the afternoon, Dr. Winfried Koch, Technology Scouting, Innovation and Ventures (TSIV) Advisor at ExxonMobil and former NextGen member, presented ExxonMobil's diverse portfolio of innovation exploration. In a workshop, NextGen participants gained insights into ExxonMobil, the future of the energy business and global resources.

We would like to warmly thank all the representatives from ExxonMobil - especially Ronny Hauck, Ludwig Högn, Marlene Wolf, Winfried Koch and Ferah Cakmak - for making yesterday's NextGen day a success!
