On February 15, 2023, AmCham Germany’s Regional Chapter Bavaria co-hosted an evening event with the Evangelische Akademie Tutzing, featuring a keynote address by renowned journalist and author Georg Mascolo. The event focused on the theme of "Journalism in Times of Global Disruption," with Mascolo highlighting the vital role of well-researched journalism in promoting democracy and social cohesion in Germany and the United States.
During the event, attendees had the opportunity to engage in a lively Q&A session with Mr. Mascolo and enjoyed a light networking dinner and drinks reception afterwards in the historic ambience of the salons of the Evangelische Akademie. This event cooperation was an excellent opportunity for members of AmCham Germany, but also friends and guests from the Freundeskreis of the Evangelische Akademie to connect with like-minded business leaders and exchange their thoughts and ideas on the topic at hand. Everyone left with a deeper understanding of the importance of journalism in today's global landscape and the need for strong transatlantic cooperation in this area.
