Independence Day Celebration at Schlosshotel Kronberg

Keynotes on freedom, friendship, and future of transatlantic partners by U.S. Consul General Norman Thatcher Scharpf, AmCham Germany President Simone Menne, and Regional Chapter Rhine-Main Chair David Knower

On Monday, July 10, AmCham Germany's Regional Chapter Rhine-Main hosted its traditional 4th of July celebration at the Schlosshotel Kronberg near Frankfurt. David Knower, one of AmCham Germany’s Regional Chapter Chairs of Rhine-Main, welcomed more than 150 members and friends of AmCham Germany to commemorate and celebrate one of the most important days in the history of the United States.

In their keynotes, U.S. Consul General Norman Thatcher Scharpf and AmCham Germany President Simone Menne pointed out the rising relevance and prospering perspectives of transatlantic partnership in general, and especially the strong ties between the United States and Germany. The event featured the Presentation of Colors by the U.S. Marine Corps and the singing of the U.S. National Anthem.

The event provided the opportunity to come together in transatlantic spirit and enjoy a warm summer evening in front of one of the most beautiful parks in the region with fine food and relaxed conversations. Guests also had the exciting chance to win free tickets for several American Football matches - including for one of the NFL games in November in Frankfurt - by taking a quiz about the U.S.

We would like to thank our sponsors and guests who made this event a memorable evening.
