Farewell Luncheon with U.S. Consul General Darion Akins and Niculae Cantuniar, outgoing Regional Chapter Chair Lower Saxony

AmCham Germany’s Chapter Lower Saxony had the privilege of hosting Consul General Darion Akins, the U.S. Ambassador’s representative to the German states of Hamburg, Lower Saxony, Bremen, Schleswig-Holstein, and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, in Hanover for an intimate business lunch on June 13, 2022.

Topics of discussion were paths forward with strong ties between the EU und the U.S. under the challenges facing all of us. The war in Ukraine, inflation supply chain issues on all fronts. In addition Mr. Akins shared what he will miss most from Germany upon his return to the U.S.

Daniel Andrich, General Manager AmCham Germany, thanked Nic Cantuniar, outgoing Chair of AmCham Germany’s Chapter Lower Saxony, for his strong leadership over the past 2 years. Mr. Akins also presented Mr. Cantuniar with a coin, the meaning of it being whoever presents the coin at their next meeting will invite the other for the first round.
