AmCham Germany was honored to participate in the Munich Security Conference again this year as an official Institutional Partner. On Saturday, February 14, 2026, we co-organized the German-U.S. Congressional Business Roundtable 2026 together with the U.S. Embassy Berlin and the Transatlantic Business Initiative and also hosted our Transatlantic Networking Dinner.

The Roundtable brought together C-level company representatives and the U.S. Congressional Delegation to facilitate an open and informal dialogue between Members of Congress and transatlantic business leaders. We welcomed inputs from U.S. Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Alan Meltzer (U.S. Embassy Berlin), Senator Chris Coons, our President Simone Menne and Dr. Tobias Meyer (Chairman, Transatlantic Business Initiative & CEO, DHL Group).

Further members of this year’s U.S. Congressional Delegation in attendance were, among others: Senator Andy Kim, Senator Jacky Rosen, Senator Peter Welch and Representative Michael Baumgartner. We were also honored to welcome German Ambassador to the U.S. Jens Hanefeld and Ambassador Wolfgang Ischinger as guests of honor.

In the evening, we hosted our Transatlantic Networking Dinner titled "Strengthening Transatlantic Resilience: Rethinking Business and Policy Priorities in an Era of Global Disruption." Kicking off the official side event, our President Simone Menne underscored the importance of fostering strong transatlantic cooperation and dialogue. Opening remarks were also held by Benjamin Sokolowski (Managing Director Germany & Vice President Government Affairs EMEA, Qualcomm) and Alex Panas (Senior Partner and Global Leader of Industry Sectors, McKinsey & Company).

We were especially honored to welcome Bernd Lange, Member of the European Parliament and Chair of the Committee on International Trade, as a speaker at our Transatlantic Networking Dinner, who shared his insights with our members and guests.

Among our distinguished guests in attendance were also Paul Kapur, Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, U.S. Department of State; Mona Neubaur, Minister for Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Action and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia; Metin Hakverdi, MdB, Coordinator of Transatlantic Cooperation; and Brendan Hanrahan, Senior Bureau Official for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs (EUR), U.S. Department of State.

A big thank you to all our speakers, members and guests as well as the supporters of our Transatlantic Networking Dinner: Premium Partners McKinsey & Company and Qualcomm as well as Partners Monroe Atlantic, Pfizer, Thermo Fisher Scientific and VISA. Furthermore, we'd like to thank the Munich Security Conference for welcoming us again as an official Institutional Partner.
