Make-A-Wish® Germany opens a new office in Frankfurt's Nordend –
Restart of the charitable organization in the Rhine-Main area and ultimately Germany as a whole

July 2018, the German branch of the Make-A-Wish® International Foundation will open its new office in Frankfurt's Nordend. The newly established nonprofit company, which specializes in granting life-changing wishes of children with critical illnesses puts its first focus on the Rhine-Main area, but ultimately wants to grow to serve all of Germany.

Vision
The goal is to grow Make-A-Wish® Germany into a full-fledged organization able to help all of the roughly 6,000 eligible children in Germany each year.

Mission
To achieve this, Make-A-Wish® Germany is committed to working with volunteers, donors and sponsors, on which the organization is based worldwide. As soon as all the necessary structures of Make-A-Wish® in Germany are in place, child focus will be first. Studies show that fulfilling the wishes of children with life threatening diseases can have a positive effect on the healing process – and the entire community involved.

Working together

The strategy is to start in the center of Germany, namely the Rhein-Main Region, and radiate and grow from there. Make-A-Wish® Germany asks all members of AmCham Germany for support – may it be as donors, sponsors or volunteers. Or even simply to help make connections to hospitals or others inclined to help. Because in addition to donations and sponsoring partnerships there are many ways to help Make-A-Wish® realize the healing power of wishes. It takes more than is often thought and without hands-on volunteers and supporters in hospitals for example, or empathetic people who draw our attention to eligible children and young people, Make-A-Wish® is unable to do all the good it’s intended to do. We need you, many of you! And we would be more than pleased if you contact us.
