Transatlantic Talks Kickoff Event

What to Expect for the Transatlantic Business Community from the New US Administration

On March 16, AmCham Germany hosted its kickoff event for its new series Transatlantic Talks 2021: Paving the Path Ahead. AmCham Germany welcomed former Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) and former Congressman Charles Boustany (R-LA) as distinguished guests for the event, which was moderated by AmCham Germany General Manager Daniel Andrich.

Both speakers, renowned for their in-depth experience in the US Congress, provided insights regarding the expectations, challenges, and possibilities of the Biden administration. Senator Boxer and Congressman Boustany gave AmCham Germany members an extensive and bipartisan overview on diverse policies and agenda points on a national and international level.

Often mentioned were the possibilities for transatlantic cooperation in subjects such as digital trade agreements and in health. Overall, the statements and contributions of both speakers gave a sense of optimism and highlighted the window of opportunity that is opening for the transatlantic community.

Thank you to our Rhine-Main Chapter and Regional Chapter Chair David Knower for organizing the event and to Cerberus Beteiligungsberatung GmbH for the generous sponsorship.
