On November 14, AmCham Germany and host ChargePoint Germany held an Expert Briefing in Munich on the latest trends in electric vehicle charging technology. With the motto "Smart, Green and Urban - Electric Mobility for Employers and Fleets", Sven Meder, Head of Sales DACH at ChargePoint Germany, stressed the need for integrated solutions in the process of introducing e-technology - customer-friendly solutions offered under one roof to save time and money.
Tina Zierul, Senior Director Public Policy at ChargePoint, informed the audience about the imperative removal of legal hurdles like the lack of a "right to the plug" and the necessity for the Bundesregierung to urgently introduce an all-encompassing proposal for private charging infrastructure across Germany.
Gerhard Kiesbauer, Head of Charge & Motion at MVV Energie, and Wolfgang Thanner, Head of the Munich Region at the BVMW, rounded off the briefing with their perspectives from an energy provider and an organization representing over 30,000 SMEs.
All experts agreed that e-mobility is advancing fast and growing continuously. After the presentations, the experts and a committed audience engaged in a lively discussion and mingled over snacks and drinks at the trendy WeWork office space.
