AmCham Germany recently had the chance to conduct a set of video interviews with Andreas Schwaiger, Managing Director of Texas Instruments GmbH and Member of our Board of Directors, on the importance of diversity and digitalization as well as how COVID-19 is affecting production processes and employee work structures at his company.
In the video interview on diversity, Schwaiger states that it is "an important enabler" and "makes our culture more inclusive, our company stronger and our products more innovative." He lists some best-practice examples, such as TI's Annual Diversity Day, TI Pride and the TI Women's Initiative.
On digital transformation, Schwaiger points out how COVID-19 has accelerated digital trends and also how products like semiconductors, which Texas Instruments manufacturs, are at the core of innovation.
In another video interview, we spoke with Schwaiger about the impact of COVID-19 on his company. For instance, at Texas Instruments' German headquarters in Freising, production processes have been adjusted to a shift model to ensure employee safety, and automation solutions such as autonomous robots and smart sensor networks are being intensified.
