For a growing number of AmCham Germany's members, promoting a diverse workforce and inclusive culture has become a top priority. That is why AmCham Germany invited two experts in this field on March 28, 2019, to discuss how issues surrounding D&I can effectively be addressed and take a closer look at different approaches in the US and in Germany: Lorraine Hariton, President and CEO of Catalyst, and Sylvia Rothblum, SVP German Speaking Territories & Israel at Warner Bros.
The experts agreed that in today's challenging economy, companies simply cannot afford to miss out on a talented workforce. On the contrary, in order to remain innovative and competitive, organizations need to establish and foster an inclusive culture that allows everyone to reach their full potential.
However, there is no "one size fits all" solution, and diversity varies on a country by country basis. How diversity is addressed is shaped by cultural values and infrastructure – and most importantly the will to make change happen.
