Joint AmCham Germany and AmCham EU Committee Meeting on the European Digital Agenda

On May 9, 2019, AmCham Germany's Telecommunications, Internet and Media Committee hosted a delegation of representatives of AmCham EU's Digital Economy Committee to discuss the next European digital agenda with Members of Parliament and government officials. During the joint breakfast meeting with Manuel Höferlin, Member of the German Bundestag, FDP-Parliamentary Group and Dieter Janecek, Member of the German Bundestag, Alliance 90 / The Greens-Parliamentary Group and the joint meeting with Marco-Alexander Breit, Head of Unit VIB1 - Digital policy coordination and Dr. Frank Goebbels, Head of Unit VIB6 - European digital policy at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, the discussions touched upon issues such as data protection, cybersecurity, (digital) taxation, privacy and many other digital policy issues.

The meetings were part of AmCham EU's series of visits to European capitals, including Dublin and Paris to discuss digital policy priorities for the next European Commission.
