New Committee Chair Dorothee Stamm from Medtronic


Berlin, July 4, 2019: Before summer is officially in full swing, AmCham Germany's Healthcare & Life Sciences Committee held one more meeting. At the beginning of the meeting, the Committee welcomed Dorothee Stamm, Head of the Berlin Office at Medtronic GmbH, to the leadership team of the Healthcare & Life Sciences Committee. Together with Dr. Gerd Kräh, Lilly Deutschland, and Günter Fortmann, LAWG, she will steer the Committee's activities and set topics with a focus on medical device issues. Before joining Medtronic, Ms. Stamm worked as Head of Office for a Member of the German Bundestag and as Head of Corporate Communications in the field of waste disposal management.

Ms. Stamm moderated the discussion on current healthcare policy issues with Harald Kuhne, Head of the Central Department at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. During the meeting, the Committee talked about the framework needed to reap the full potential of digitalization in the healthcare sector, the challenges of implementing the Medical Device Regulation as well as ongoing pharmaceutical dialogue and IP issues.
