On July 17, 2017, AmCham Germany hosted a Business Luncheon on the subject of "Transatlantic Ties 70 Years After the Marshall Plan" and was honored to welcome Dr. Karen Donfried, President of the German Marshall Fund, as the speaker.
Before assuming the role of president of the GMF in April 2014, Dr. Karen Donfried was special assistant to US President Barack Obama and Senior Director for European Affairs at the National Security Council at the White House. Prior to that, Ms. Donfried held several high-level governmental and advisory positions, all focusing on transatlantic and European issues.
