Business After Hours with Uber

Regional Chapter Event
Description
The American Chamber of Commerce in Germany and its Regional Chapter Bavaria are pleased to invite you to a Business After Hours event with Uber on July 13, 2026.
The future of mobility is evolving rapidly. Technological innovation, new forms of connectivity, and shifting societal expectations are reshaping how we move in both urban and rural areas. Automation, electrification, and the growth of shared mobility are key drivers, alongside increasing regulatory and sustainability requirements.
Together with our member Uber, we will explore these developments and discuss the key trends shaping the mobility landscape of the future. What changes can we expect in the coming years, and how are providers adapting to evolving market and regulatory conditions? What role will digital platforms play in creating efficient and accessible mobility systems on both sides of the Atlantic?
We are delighted to welcome Christoph Weigler, Country Manager of Uber Germany, for a keynote address offering insights into Uber’s vision and perspective on the future of mobility. The keynote will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Christoph Weigler alongside Glenn Schmidt, Vice President Global Sustainability at BMW; Dr. Christian Wältermann, Managing Director at Fortlane Partners; and Oliver May-Beckmann, Managing Director of MCube, who will share their perspectives on innovation, sustainability, and the evolving mobility ecosystem in Munich and beyond.
The evening will conclude with a networking reception, offering an opportunity to exchange ideas and connect with peers from the transatlantic business community in a relaxed and informal setting.
