Transatlantic Talks 2021: Paving the Path Forward for a Transatlantic Cooperation and Interdependency in Aerospace & Defense

For decades, the transatlantic security partnership, a key pillar of transatlantic relations, has offered stability, predictability, and thus a favorable economic environment, in which transatlantic business and collaboration in aerospace and defense could flourish. More recently however, discussions about NATO burden sharing, the outcomes of joint military interventions such as the one in Afghanistan, and the refocusing of U.S. foreign policy toward Asia, have raised questions on both sides of the pond about the future of the partnership. Transatlantic cooperation in aerospace and defense remains indispensable in a rapidly changing global environment, in order to meet the old and new security challenges of our time.

Therefore, AmCham Germany's Aerospace & Defense Committee together with the Regional Chapter Baden-Württemberg will host an event to discuss current issues and trends in transatlantic security cooperation, offer insights on what to expect from the new U.S. administration, and assess the impact of policy choices on transatlantic businesses operating in the fields of aerospace and defense.
