Roundtable with Peter Rough, Hudson Institute, and Dr. Thorsten Klaßen, COO, DGAP

On Friday, November 2nd, AmCham Germany, the US Consulate General Frankfurt and the German Council on Foreign Relations Frankfurt Forum (DGAP e.V.) hosted a roundtable discussion at Villa Bonn, Frankfurt.

Marc C. Hilgard, AmCham Germany Rhine-Main Regional Chair, welcomed the guests together with Christoph Kehr von Plattenberg, DGAP e.V.

Peter Rough, Fellow at Hudson Institute in Washington D.C., talked about Germany's role in global politics and gave answers to questions such as: What responsibilities could and should Germany take? What is expected of Germany? How can these expectations and fears be conciliated with domestic interests? How can Germany unite its practical politics in foreign affairs as well as security, migration and social policies with its ethical principles and duties anchored in its constitution?

The event and discussion were moderated by Dr. Thorsten Klaßen, Chief Operating officer of DGAP e.V.
