First Thanksgiving Dinner of the Season Held in Düsseldorf

Guest of Honor US Consul General Fiona Evans

On 18 November 2019, AmCham Germany kicked off the first of its country-wide Thanksgiving Dinners at the InterContinental Hotel in Düsseldorf, which was simultaneously the last event of the year for the Regional Chapter North Rhine-Westphalia. Around 100 guests let themselves be enchanted by the coloratura soprano Maria Carla Pino Cury and the baritone Luvuyo Mbundu, who were accompanied on the piano by Ville Enckelmann.

Chairman Dr. Alexander Schröder-Frerkes welcomed the guests followed by US Consul General Fiona Evans, who underscored the importance of German-American relations by saying, "Germany and the US are good friends. Good friends can disagree sometimes but they are still good friends." Afterwards, Deacon Udo van Neer blessed the meal with a traditional harvest prayer.

We thank our supporters for making this event possible.
