On November 27, 2018, Axel Isele, Chair of the AmCham Chapter Rhine-Neckar Triangle, had the pleasure of welcoming Heiko Thoms, Deputy Permanent Representative of Germany to NATO and Former Ambassador of Germany to the United Nations, as the speaker at a Forum at the "John Deere Forum" in Mannheim. After the welcoming speeches by Axel Isele and Christoph Wigger, Vice President at John Deere GmbH & Co. KG, where the event was hosted, Heiko Thoms spoke about the current status of the transatlantic relationship with regard to foreign affairs and security policy. With his extensive experience in foreign and security policy Heiko Thoms provided insights into the current developments of the transatlantic relationships from a German, European, NATO and US perspective.
The speech was followed by a networking reception and dinner in the impressive John Deere Forum.
