On Friday, January 26, 2018, AmCham Germany hosted its annual New Year's reception in Frankfurt. The Rhein-Main Regional Committee Chair, Dr. Mark Hilgard, welcomed the attendees before the main speaker, Elmar Brok, Member of the European Parliament, spoke about the challenges and oppurtunities in transatlantic relations in 2018. AmCham Germany President Bernhard Mattes concluded with a speech discussing the past year in transatlantic relations and for the Chamber, as well as the hopes and expectations for economic relations in the new year.
