TIM Breakfast on Digital Economy Agenda of the US Department of Commerce

On October 7, AmCham Germany's TIM Committee welcomed Alan B. Davidson, Director of Digital Economy at the US Department of Commerce, for another event of its TIM Breakfast series in Berlin. Davidson first gave an overview of the Digital Economy Agenda of the US Department of Commerce, touching upon the department's policy priorities in the areas of free and open internet, trust and security, access and skills as well as innovation and emerging technologies.

The presentation was followed by an open exchange, in which TIM members voiced their priority issues, among others the value of content and cybersecurity.

We thank our guests Alan Davidson and Ajit Jillavenkatesa, Senior Standards Policy Advisor at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, who also joined the discussion, as well as GE for kindly hosting this breakfast.
