Corporate Responsibility Committee discusses Sustainable Consumption in Germany

Berlin: On September 14th, members of the Corporate Responsibility Committee met with Dr. Ulf Jaeckel, Head of Division "Sustainable Consumer Protection, Product-related Environmental Protection” in the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB). The participants discussed the National Program for Sustainable Consumption in Germany which will soon be launched by the federal government.The program contains measures to promote sustainable consumption in various areas of daily life, including clothing, mobility and food consumption as well as housing and the work space. Amongst others, measures will be aimed at consumer information and education, discussion platforms and environmental labels.
