Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) - Educational & Cultural Exchanges
Fosters mutual understanding between the United States and other countries through international educational and training programs. Contains excellent links to exchange and scholarship programs.
CDS International (CDS), founded in 1968, is a non-profit organization committed to the advancement of international practical training opportunities for young professionals, students, educators, as well as labor, business and government representatives. CDS started out small, arranging internships in U.S. companies for young German professionals and exchanging farmers between Germany and the United States. Today, CDS serves almost 1,400 individuals annually from over 50 other countries in Europe, Asia and South America in a variety of work/study, internship, and study tour programs.
Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals
The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals is a scholarship program with a strong focus on cultural exchange. It is designed to give participants understanding for everyday life, education, and professional training in Germany and the United States.

Internationales Parlaments-Stipendium (IPS)
This is a program organized by the German Bundestag in cooperation with Berlin's universities. Each year, the German Bundestag, in cooperation with Berlin's universities, offers approximately 100 young people from different countries - currently 21 - a unique opportunity to complete an internship lasting several months in the office of a Member of the German Bundestag, and thus to familiarize themselves with decision-making processes in German politics and gain practical experience in the field of parliamentary work.

The U.S. Commercial Service assists U.S. companies entering the German market and helps German firms in their efforts to profit from their alliances with American companies either by representing American manufactures, utilizing American products, or through joint venture arrangements.

"USA-Interns" is an internship program that fosters the German-American partnership and was founded by the Steuben Schurz Gesellschaft.
