AmCham in Nuremberg and Northern Bavaria
Nuremberg is situated in the German state of Bavaria, in the administrative region of Middle Franconia. With its approximately 500,000 inhabitants, Nuremberg is Franconia's largest city. It is located about 170 kilometers north of Munich. For many people, Nuremberg is still associated with its traditional gingerbread products, sausages and handmade toys. But Nuremberg is an important industrial center with a strong standing in the markets of Central and Eastern Europe. Items manufactured in the area include electrical equipment, mechanical and optical products, motor vehicles and printed materials. The city is also strong in the fields of automation, energy and medical technology.
